I have a set of stripped rims but the tires are perfectly fine. Is there a chemical I could use to eat the glue away? Maybe acetone? I'm not sure.

i've heard of boiling them and i've also seen other members using the oven to do it but i never have so I'm not sure how u do it!!!

I have done both

Oven works best but if you go to squirrels vids don't use that much heat 250 is all you need

I tried boiling them before, no dice. I will try baking them.

I've had success both ways. IMO I like the baking method because the tire stays hot. With the boiling method it got cold fast enough that I couldn't finish one side of the tire when I took it out. I always had to boil each side twice for the boiling method. I like the baking method because both sides come out hot and they stay hot much longer.

I agree with the temperature. Squirrel does it a bit too hot. I've done it at 275 and 300 and still had success. I'll try 250 next time.

Okay I tried the baking method. 250 degrees, 15 minutes. I began to pull the tire then it just ripped. There may have been a pre-existing hole in the tire, idk. Damn.....

How hard did you pull on the tire? The way I did it was I just lightly pushed the tire away from the rim, then it peeled away from the rim. The glue may have not deactivated yet either. The whole glue removal was a PITA, which is why I switched to beadlocks. Way better IMO.
