hey guys!
i just put in a new mill n was wondering if it is necessary to hav the spring that holds the throttle n carb. i was having problem firing up the new mill till i took off the spring. after taking off the spring i had no problem starting up n throttle response is much better. this spring came from the stock hpi f4.6 mill. n does not work wit my new Picco 28 mill.
so, do i need this spring?

That is the throttle return spring in case your batteries die out. IMO, as long as you keep your batteries charged after every run and have a good fail safe setup, you should be fine without the spring.

mount the spring to the little hoop in the plastic piece that connects to your carb ball end & then to the tvp on the other side.

trim up your throttle when your starting your mill. if you lose battery power or battery connection & your fail-safe will not have any power to close your carb. result will be a WOT run-a-way. fail safe doesnt protect from this thats why you need the spring.

wanna know how i know this?
bad driver

i absolutely hate that spring but its there for a reason, i would leave it on there, mine keeps popping off defeating its purpose so i always check on it when i bring the truck back around where I'm standing, run aways suck, my buddy just fried his MMGT3.0 when he lost range and his fail safe failed and the truck went WOT into the trees landed upside down free revving, and locking up!!!!
