hey guys, since I get a lot of good information I want the honest truth. like most americans we want the best of everything but it comes with a price. I want to buy the nomadio specktrum but i never intend on racing competitively, is this a waste of my money? I only want to bash. I really like futaba and jr radios. is owning an fm radio outdated now or is that all i really need?

The DSM is better because its glitch free. I have the Spektrum DX3 and its been great. I think the Futaba would be just as good just more money. Its nice not having to worry about glitching, other rc trucks, and the short antenna is a plus. If you have the money Id get the DSM. As for which one thats just personal preference. If you are not racing I think the nomadio might be overkill.

I agree the DSM is better, no glitching and I don't worry about loosing signal. I have the nomadio sensor, I got mine used on ebay (they are showing up on there now) and love it, it has every feature you could think of, I like that it has a failsafe built in, you can set it on every channel. I do also like the telemetry also, Another good feature is you can use one radio for up to 8 (at least 8) different RC's you just need a rx for each, then you choose which one your running on the radio and go. I would suggest looking at the manuals on the radios your interested in. then decide what you want to spend, I took a chance on buying used and got one that is like new.

Yes you want a 2.4Ghz radio. The Spektrum ones are great but I prefer the Futaba 3PM or if you have the money and are racing get the 3PK which is even better and there is soon to be a 4PK I believe.

fm is fine, i stil race with mine only nice thing about 2.4 is at races no worry ab out needing to change frequencies. if ur just bashing look for a radio that has some nice options such as epa which stocker doesnt have and power percentages. all you really need the abs functions and half the stuff on higher end radios you will never even use. i like my jr xs3 and they are prolly cheap now has plent of options for any bashers and the synth makes it nice when i race so i don't need a ton of crystals on hand

if u feel like dropping cash go for the 2.4 by all means its the new fad and I'm sure fm will be out of production sooner or later
