Installed a JR DS8711 steering servo along with a GH Racing Aluminum servo saver, and WOW! What a difference 403 oz/in of torque makes. I had no idea the stock Savage X setup was so bad (As compaired to this). I now have the problem of rolling the truck over at will (Just ordered a set of FLM extended arms from SMF, maybe the extra inch will help). At this point I have about two hours on this set up and the only down side I can see is the servos high price.

Make sure to keep an eye of your battery levels with a monster servo like that. All that extra power will exhaust them much quicker!

blazer is telling the truth! i changed and run futaba S3305's in all my trucks for steering. cheap price....metal gears......strong...and won't drain the batteries bad at all. here's the stats on it

for strong steering on a budget...can't beat this one. i usually buy 3 at the time and get the bulk price break.

I've got a 1600mAh in it now, today I ran today for about a hour and a half and it was fine. I was worried about battery life when I changed the radio gear over. I'm also using a Futaba brushless (BLS451) for the throttle, and was told the brushless servo was a battery monster. I'm going to one of the 2600mAh packs from onlybatterypacks.com A.S.A.P.
