Hi everyone, just being offered some very cheap FLM Tvps...

Can you tell me if they are any good and suitable for brushless applications? I have compared them to other FLM Products but they don't look the same.. maybe an older model?

As you can see... apart of the rear section of the TVPs have been cut out... Now considering i can get all the below for $20 is it worth it for a basher or should i just save my money?

Although i cant give you an answer on structural integrity, i can tell you i'd buy that gear for $20.00.

You really got nothing to lose caz the servo mounts retail $8 and the skidder retails $10+

 wonder why the dude cut em.

i was trying to figure out the same thing frddyj, but as you said for the price its worth a try..

hmmm hopefully they don't increase much in price... but i could always weld something in there to reinforce it... Then get it all re anodised once the welding is done.

But would these work for a flux? would i need a different motor plate? or should that one be ok for both nitro and brushless?

Can you weld aluminum alloy? (pardon my ignorance idk much about welding)

i know a dude that made em work with a brushless set up but also his truck weighs in excess of 16 lbs. id link you to his build, but he got mad caz he wasnt allowed to SPAM the site here and deleted all his posts.

You can make anything work with modding but yeah you'd need to figure out motor mounting, battery box mounting & prolly thats about it.

oo thanks for bringing up those points frddy.... are you talking about whipnet? all his posts are deleted and i think he did a brushless conversion....

Ill have to speak to a feww people if its even possible to weld aluminium..... you and me in the same boat about welding...

Might be fun modding these... ill see how much they go for...

Hmmmm ppl do weird things to parts don't they. Lol. I would get it for that price if you plan on doing a flm build. And to weld the aluminum you have to use the right welder tug I believe with aluminum wire gas ect. My family all welders. Thn there's me. Can't see good enough to weld ;(

LoL my whole family are welders too. I believe TIG welding works, because its not high heat and you can you thinner rod on it. I am not to sure, I will ask my dad tomorrow

Decided that it wouldnt be worth it. Ive already got a set of heavy TVPs, and i am not a fan of FLM anymore...
When I'm ready, ill just dish out for some Carbon PRC goodies instead.
