I think your throttle linkage to your carb slide is at a serious angle, you should get that to pull your carb straight out.

(1:40) you had dust inside your engine?! I think you need to run it more 🙂 hahaha

nice vid but i do have to agree that the carb needs turned or you will wear out the carb barrel

I have seen the picture of the carb turned (on another thread somewhere), from a top view it looks all nice and in line, but in reality it is probably pulling "down" on the carb, and still not pulling it straight out. It may be a little better than the way he has it though.

I like the mods on your truck. The steering mod certainly seems to be worthwhile. Well done!

Thanks man. It's nice when someone appreciates other peoples work. I read through the forums over and over and see some things on the savage that could be better or upgraded. (this is in my eyes only) It would be easy to but all sorts of parts and build from there which I do as well but with some of the little stuff i enjoy making/building it myself. I never liked the slop in the steering and now with this I nver have to worry about it. Thanks again. Terry

Thats exactly how I see it. Its half the fun of this hobby to make and build little things here and there by yourself.

For example, a couple months ago I saw this stylish and shiny (stainless steel no less!) toothbrush cup/holder somewhere - at the end of the day it was turned into a tank guard for my ofna fuel tank. :cwm27:

Shim the bearings for the axle slop. I don't use plastic (stock) bell cranks so I don't have the slop you fixed. But good Job. Did you fix the throttle mod ? BTW I tossed it when I went picco. if you keep it make sure its perfect. I went threw a few picco carbs with good alignment they cant take the added issues ... and who is AM mods ?
