Steering servo saver

My question is I am working on a new build and someone suggested not using the stock plastic servo saver. Should I go aluminum like Golden Horizon or use stock?I bought the hd spring for stock servo saver.

I have a Flux XL and I'm using the GH Racing Saver Assembly, I think it's better than stock and removes some of the slop from the steering but the HPI HD spring does not fit the GH assembly. The HPI spring is too big for the assembly.
