Hey guys my steering servo keeps stripping and I'm getting (edit), I have a hitec 5645 and ive tried my servo saver loose and cranked down and i keep stripping the same (edit) gear which is metal not plastic. there is no binding at all! i even put in another servo, (hitec 645) that i had and it stripped. any ideas, do they make a tougher servo? Thanks.

Hmmmmm. Not running into anything? Yet adjusting the servo saver then by hand turn the tires and watch the two pieces to see if they come apart/twist like they are supposed to. Should be fairly firm but not over stiff to lose it slams the gears. Striping them. To tight same thing. There's a mid point that you need to find for that servo. Its not a good servo but shouldn't strip. The higher the dollar the better the servos good. try air tronics servos.

I don't know how well they are built but I'm running the stock SF-5 servo in my XL still and I have put it through severe punishment. I've stripped two plastic horns on it and never once damaged anything inside the servo. I would say it is more likely some other problem, other than just the quality of the servo. I still say try the endpoints first, but if your servo is broken anyway I guess you may as well get a better one while your at it LOL.

maybe I should get the plastic servo horn, thats allot cheaper then new gears! I cant figure out why it keeps breaking, end points are correct. screw it ill just buy a better servo, maybe an ace servo the gears look beefier than hitecs.
