hey guys what's spur gear would you recommend smoked the stock today after the 8th tank and I also noticed the truck wasn't shifting into second idk what caused the spur gear to go I was running it hit the breaks and spun it around next thing you know it wouldn't move I'm a noob and rc so any help would be great and info on aftermarket spur gear would be great

Can you post a photo of the fried gear? May help diagnosing your issue.

If you liked the low end power and high end speed, then stick with the same tooth count. If durability is an issue, can try a steel one, but may need to replace the bell as well to get a HD bell that can stand up to a steel spur.

I'm also running pro line 3.8 trenches the clutch bell was so hot when I touched it burned my finger

Looks like your mesh could have been a bit tighter, but if it's getting that hot, it is probably melting your spur when you sit, then when you hit the gas, it tears off the teeth it's touching, then rips through the rest.

Might want to try gearing down a bit and looking into an aluminum clutch.

Just buy the HPI XL clutch from jennys rc sport on e bay and be done with it, i recently got a complete setup, alloy shoes, springs, flywheel, nut, washers and shims and all from them for less than 20 bux....

I run that in my bb revo and my savage. Has been holding up just fine.

In my OS21TM revo though, I was stuck using 1/10th scale as I couldn't move the trans forward since I'm running steel MIP centers on it. I did install an integy 7075 2 shoe and it seems to be holding up well so far. Puts the power to the tires really well compared to stock composite.
