Spur Gear Issue

My truck just Revs up and barely moves. I was told it was the spur gear. I have tightened it as tight as it will go an I have loosened it as much as possible to find a happy place, but nothing seems to work.
Is there potentially another issue or a special way to gauge how tight it needs to be.

you tighten down the spur then loosen it 1/4 turn "THIS IS WHAT HPI SUGGESTS",

Most people just crank the nut all the way down and leave it tight. You just have to remember not to be on the throttle when landing jumps or :mushroom:there's some serious damage. I'd crank it all the way down then give it a quick test run and see how it acts. After that report back here.

Maybe it might not be your spur gear.

Do your front and rear axles turn when you hit the throttle?
If they do you might have blown some diffs or lost some grub screws on the outdrives of the bulkhead.
If not you might be missing some parts on the spur gear itself or missing some grub screws on the outdrives on the tranny.

If you have already cranked down on the spur gear and the wheels still don't turn I don't think that is your issue (the tightness of your nut)

Brakes stuck?

Missing grub screws?

Slipping/failed clutch?

Melted off slipper pad?

broken transmission?

Stripped out wheel hexes?

Could be a lot of things since you didn't inform us on if you had eliminated other possibilities or not. Check out some more things and give us a bit more info and we will be able to help you out a lot easier.
