I'm wanting the novarossi buggy 4 shoe clutch, the problem is that it only comes with either a 13 or a 14 clutchbell.I want 2 use their cb becomes it is dual ball bearing. If I get the 14t I'm gonna have 2 change my spur.In order 2 get the gear ratio I want I need around a 40 or 41t spur. Now I have found 1 I want but it is 4 the Flux, so my question is will it fit on my savage x???? Thanx 4 help

the Savage bell is also 2 bearing supported so i aint sure what you are wondering.....

You're making things way more difficult than they have to be.

I wasn't sure if the savage bell would fit on the nova.clutch! I did read and c that they both 34mm I believe.just wasn't sure cause it only had the 2 cb options, it had been a long weekend I had 2 work on my eclipse it was cold and tiring so was wore out by the time I kicked back and was on the net but thanxs guys

Not sure if I'm misunderstanding anything but why not just try the hpi clutch set up first, alum shoes, mugen springs and hpi clutch bell.

I was gonna but I've read on that nova clutch kit and I like it better see I'm putting it on a full out modded novarossi 28-7rt from clockwork mod, and I like the two aluminum shoes and the two carbon shoe setup it's designed for higher horsepower engine. If I was keeping the 4.1 in my savage then I would go with the hpi clutch.but I reckon that the engine I ordered is a beast

I would go with a 4 alloy shoe setup, if the engine you are getting is that powerful having all alloy shoes will be better....... the heat generated in the clutch is pretty high and I think carbon shoes would disintegrate away in short order.....

Good point I will only have 2 buy two aluminum shoes then, there is supposed 2 be multiple springs 2 adjust the power of shoes here's a link for the clutch www.novarossi.it/.../clutches/buggy-clutc...

Plus I think it would probably b balanced better than a regular 3 shoe, and the fact that it's made by nova it should b top notch. My engine should b here anytime can't wait.I need 2 shim diffs till I get the bulletproof 1's cause I'm sure I'm gonna eat them up if not cause they all stock.

But back 2 spur gear, I'm wanting great torque (4 ultimate wheelies, and burst for jumps) and still have blazing fast top end. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't the 29/9 help top end? I'm planning on bashing/and racing my savage and don't want 2 have 2 change gears for each thinking 3speed also so what cb/spur is recomended

The 29/9 may help a bit but in reality the sintered 43/13 diffs are pretty good, only have to shim them right and they should last unless you like to land jumps onpower then even the 29/9 BP diffs will let go, one good upgrade is the alloy diff cups if you don't already have them, they will help keep the gears aligned in the cases, but as for gearing you will have to play with it a bit to get what you want out of it..... I suggest maybe starting with a 16/48 and go from there to see how the engine responds and where it's powerband is at......

I only run the 2 speed, and I think 17/47 is a good all round combo I've tried 17/49 16/47 18/47 and I get wheelies when I want and good top speed with 17/47.
that clocked nova should give you wheelies all day long

I'm running 16/48 with the 3 speed with high speed third gear set. Wheelies all day long.
