spur gear help

i have bought a savagex 4.6 with reverse after doing a full tank i did the the break in like it said on the dvd and went to take it out for a drive to day after putting a spur gear on after i fliped it the day before not think about putting the engine gaurd on so went to model shop got another 1 it just chooed it up what would have mad it do that i have only had it out 2 days only for a couple of hours 🙁

did you check the gear mesh simon?

the slipper gear was all ok but when i took it out today it was just scream its ban-ban-ban- off soo i took off the spur gear there was no mesh left and it had melted the spur gear on the back but it was on nice and tight aswelll
