I got the DYNP5005 max-life shoes and put them on my k5.9 and the stock springs don't fit properly. They won't go down far enough towards the flywheel to rest in the groove on the flywheel nut. Has anyone else experienced this? Which springs should I use with these shoes and this mill. They do work, btw, but I can actually grab the shoes and pull them away from the flywheel. They don't lock in tight like the stock ones did. I have run three tanks on them, I'm just worried they might get loose inside the clutch bell even though they don't have anywhere to go.

Thats strange, I'm running the HPI gold springs with mine, i think they are the 1.1mm i may be wrong though, seem to work fine on the stock pilot nut and i need to pry the spring out of the groove with a thin screwdriver to remove the shoes.

I here will test hpi gold springs are 1.0 and will work , but i went with mugen 1.0 springs and boy thise suckera are really tight .

yes they were. they have a slighty diffrent shape but really tight fit and the shoes fly out nice. just was a pain to install. other than that its a great shoe and spring combo. btw I'm using stock hpi nut shimmed

I'm just running the stock ones from the XL still. They seem to hold although I don't know how LOL. Anyhow it's working well. Wheelying again, which it hasn't done in a while so thats good, especially considering I'm running the k5.9 still.
