last night i thought that i would try something new so i grabbed up some old springs that were 4'' long and pulled them to about 4 7/8'' long and it works fairley well. i found that when you pull them that you increase the resistance it takes to compress the spring making it harder. i also tried coil binding with some zip ties and i'm still working on that part it lowers the truck and it helps on road driving. i hope this will help people with there shocks that are on a budget.

good tip on the stretching +1. Ive tried the binding didnt really work all that well had to put on like 5 zip ties on the coils to keep them strait. I found if you just cut a pice of bic pen and slide it over your shock shaft before you re assemble the shock and it will shorten up the shock. Kind off like using fuel tube except it dosnt fall apart like fuel tube does
