alright, i talked to the guy at my LHS today when i went to get a new radio. i was looking at the spektrum radio, and he told me that they have crappy customer service, and that they are getting rid of all surface radio's. i don't know how true this is, but the spektrum seems to be a popular radio around here, so what does everybody think or know about this?

btw: i bought a futaba 3pm 2.4ghz

I think he has no idea what he is talking about! Why would they make the DX3R? I mean it seems like they are just getting into it.

i don't know, i didnt go further into it with spektrum. normally this guy is a reliable source of information, and he can tune a carb like no other.

well, i got a chance to play around with a futaba before i bought it. they have an indoor 1/12 and down scale track and i raced a micro-t around for a bit. liked the feel of the tx, and its got a whole bunch of bells and whistles that i need to figure out now.

I had to contact Spektrum customer service and they were great. They replied in a reasonable amount of time and were very helpful. I agree with drivefast, I think he just wanted to steer you away from spektrum...

I read someone else saying something similar but not quite the same. Once again this is rumour at best. Basically he was saying that they are going to move all the after market radios back under the JR brand and do all the rtr gear with the losi name. I doubt it's true though cause the spektrum brand is so strong.
