hi guys,
i recently change my mill to the picco p3 drag mod. i hav damage my slipper clutch twice. the first time i was using the plastic spur gear 47T tighten the nut all the way down n loosen 1/2 turn as shown in the savage x manual, slipper clutch was damage. 2nd time change to metal spur gear 47T tighten the nut all the way down n loosen 1/4 turn as shown in the metal gear manual, same thing happened. anybody know wats the problem? see pics.

now i'm goin for 49T plastic spur gear but hav not dare to try yet. pls help.

Try a new nut, maybe it is working loose.
What is your current set up?
Clutch bell 17T?
Clutch set up, stock or other?
Wheel size?
What were you doing when it happen?

you can put a little bit of blue thread lock on the shaft but make sure none gets on anything else. and try only an 1/8 turn from tight on both the metal and plastic or maybe go direct drive. just my .02

Don't adjust it to slip on the drag modded picco. Tighten it all the way down and leave it locked. Just keep in mind that mill has the power to grenade the tranny. And it will if you let it. I'm sure if its Robins mill he has given you set up advice. Listen to what he says or you will be blowing up stuff by the tank.

47/17T
aluminum clutch shoe

it was doing wheelies at first next day i played again pulled full throttle n it did not go as fast n stop doing wheelies.

i think i know my problem now, i hav to tighten the nut all the way down n not loosen it for a modded mill.

thx Bankrupter. wil tighten all the way down, let u know the outcome.

yes its mod by Robin.

mission success. tighten it all the way n locked. run 3 tanks jus now n everything is perfect. the mill is juz amazing, a lot of torque n the top speed-wow! juz quarter throttle n it does wheelies like crazy. the temp is 260-270f.

i was using 47T n change it to 49T. did not feel any difference, mayb cause I'm stil a novice. wat is the difference between 47T n 49T?

that is high temps to me I run 230 max to ensure longer engine life. 47t is for more top end 49 is for more bottom end. I like wheelies so I run a 52t with a 14t cb
