Well I have a jr650 servo that I just got a little over a month ago and it broke on me last week. The little physical stop inside of it broke. Don't know how but it did. I don't have the receipt for it so I can't get it fixed.

My question is that once installed in the truck the steering will stop before the servo can spin far enough for the servo to self destruct. Do you guys think it would still be okay to use or no? I am thinking it wouldn't be an issue but figured I would get some other people's thoughts.

I cant see any reason why you cant still use it, as you say the steering would hit the stops before the servo spins any further than it should, maybe you can set your end point adjustments to stop just shy of where they was before?

Why not ask in the wanted section, somebody may have and old, broken or faulty one of those JR's laying around unused and may send you just the final gear with the stop?

Oh, sorry i thought you meant the stop on the gear broke off, do you mean the internal groove in the case that the stop on the gear runs in?

Just seen a pic of the case and it has post type stops as opposed to the groove type i was thinking of.

There are cases for the 650 on eBay for around $5 if it is a problem using it with a broken case/stop.
