welcome on your first post nut. looks like a truck body might fit up over the cage. looks cool.

the cage looks awesome!!! well done! looks like things may be a little hard to access... but at least all the vitals are protected!!!

4 screws gets it open for engine removal, and 3 on each end for diff access. you can get the pipe and fuel tank off by removing the side braces only 4 screws. Not to bad really for how well it fits and works I think. LOL!

Thank you, but! you have retained the real MT look that most go for... and mine now resembles a kind of buggy which many may not like...

Sounds like you have thought you cage out very well! Wish you the best with it! i may even take one off you for my savage basher when its ready

LOL! Hope I can get a vender slot up over here soon. And for the record I LOVE the buggy look and I didnt think it would look as good as it does when you first started it. Came out much better than I envisioned it, LOL! There was a guy who asked me to a chenowith buggy style cage for him but I think hed be better off talking to you, LOL!

i wish i had the time, the space, the tools to take this hobby seriously and make some money out of it!

I would love to have my own machine shop!

What i like about my cage is that any force applied to the cage is not transferred to the chassis, or any hard mounting point. The bumpers would absorb all the force, expanding outwards... If there was a big enough crash to break the bumpers, it is a cheap, very quick easy fix. Better than transfering the force to any of the internals... Also 4 screws and the whole cage comes off... It uses its own natural flex to create its own shape.

You could send him my way, but if you want to try out what i have done, then give it a go. You will be surprised how quick and easy it takes shape...!!!

Ok the owner of the LHS wasn't to keen om me trying out a bunch of different bodies, Hmmm I wonder why? LOL! So my question to all of you is what bodies do you think will fit? I made it to fit under the stock X shell, but I'm not sure besides like the Grave Digger, and Trash truck, other pick up bodies or the school bus, what would fit it. I like the look of the SC bodies on some trucks but not the look I'm going for. Like the Cuda and Charger bodies, but would have issues with them being up to high or too cut up I think. Maybe the Wrangler body. Love the Baja beetle body, but again I doubt it would fit well at all.

New mount design is finalized. Sending it the the machine shop this week. Will only require the removal of 6 screws to remove the entire cage for maint.
