Savvy Paint Schemes&Tips

hi guys

i just got my savvy 2getha and i have been looking at the body and drawing up some designs.

i was wondering if we could get some pics on some of you cars. i was also wondering if anyone has a special paint scheme for da body i was personally thinking of doing tribal lines but i was drawing it up on da body and it looks really hard to do all of da masking.

would we also be able to post some tips bcoz looking thruogh all of da trreads gets really cofusing.

I would have to say use some liquid mask on the entire body and just cut out each one with a new sharp x-acto knife. That, it'll be a little easier to mask each seperate tribal design. That's what I'm getting ready to do with my new lid, except there isn't gonna be anything tribal. Just certain areas that are gonna be painted different. Also, welcome to the site.

hey thanx ive ben looking around da site and its great. so wot sort of paint are you gonna use ive bin looking at da paint dat changes from different angles but I'm not sure if it will work too well. hope your body turns out well by da way wot body r u putting on is it da standard truck body

I bought the SpazStix set(came with all the annodized and colorchanging tones). I used liquid mask, apply it in AT LEAST 2 layers, makes it a heck of a lot easier to peel off when your done. It looks foggy when applying, but drys clear. Then you use a marker to draw on the outside of the body since it has the protective coating over it....You can wipe off the marker and redraw if you want to change the designs.

No I'm not using a standard Savage/T-maxx body. They are way to short for my truck. I now have to use the bodies for the LST.

Parma has a few real cool tribal masks if you wanna go that way. the masks are easy to use and cost around 5 buck around here. I've used a couple and they look pretty sweet.but there has to be something said about an original one of a kind design.
