Congrats on the purchase and since your a newbie, welcome the HPISF. I don't have any personal experience with the XL, so these comments are only related to what I've read here. I've heard good things about people usin the stock pipe from the Cen GST 7.7 with the XL, given the fact it still comes with the 5.9 motor. As for plugs, it depends on what % fuel your gonna use. If your gonna use 20% nitro, then use a med plug. If your gonna use 30% nitro, then use a cold plug. The plugs I use are McCOY plugs. Since I'm runnin 30% nitro, I'm usin a cold plug, a McCOY MC9. If your gonna run 20% nitro, I'd suggest usin the McCoy MC8 plug. It's a med/cold plug. Hope this helps. And, also, the temp where you live will play a part in what plug to use.

What xtremsavage said is spot on! I was running the cen 7.7 pipe with the hpi header on my 5.9. I lost a little low end but it had better, smoother power throughout the rest of the powerband. Ive got an ercm endbleed on the way now.

Hey Thanks alot guys, i read up online most are using Ofna 086 for high low end what do you guys think ? Its driving me nuts everyone always has a different opinion.

I will be using the Hpi power fuel 20% so I'm guessing i should stick to a Mccoy #8 with the. 20% also i don't think i would wanna take it out during winter or in the snow i would rather wait until the summer, I'm in canada btw. Using an aftermarket pipe would i have to Mod anything or is it plug and play put on same way as for stock, online some say you need to replace the shocks maybe I'm Wrong but hoping i don't have too.

You don't have to replace shocks. 083 is a good high end pipe but if you have the extra cash, a ercm end bleed is the best pipe. Imo.

Yeah, go with the MC8 with 20%. I've never used HPI fuel before. As far as the mounting of the pipe, I know the mounting of the 086 will be different than stock cuz it's a left hand side exhaust. Meaning it's meant to mount on the opposite side of where the savvy exhaust mounts, but can still be used on the savvy. I'll try and get some close up pics of how mine is mounted. As for the Cen, not sure cuz I've never tried that exhaust. I'm sure those who have will chime in.

Allright guys i have ordered the mc8 and the pipe lets see how it goes, Thanks alot!!!
