savage xl brakes

has anyone had a problem where the brakes have ripped the screws out of the centre gearbox. the screws that hold the silver brake tabs in place and if so is there anyway to fix this

I personally have not had an issue. Basically though you have two possible fixes. You can drill and tap the hole one size larger, with this you will also have to modify the brake hardware to fit the new size screws. The other fix is to replace the transmission housing.

Mine didn't rip out, but they did fall out. ... Should have checked that when I bought the truck but I didn't. I also have to go with x on this though.
