Savage Wheels Spinning at Idle

Hi, I have a Savage XL 5.9 that when firing up spins the wheels and goes nearly full throttle. I have adjusted the trim on the receiver and turned the hs needle to no affect. Do I need to turn the LS needle? It is currently flush with the top of the needle which I believe is factory default?

the hsn wont help u at all with idle. it's for high speed.

did u try to turn the idle screw? its on the back of the carb by the block. turn it in( clockwise) to increase idle and out( counterclockwise) to lower the idle.

Mine does that too. It's only when I first get it started. It will get stuck wide open. But I shut it off before it takes off. After that it gets stuck like 1/2 throttle.
