Having trouble at the moment with my Savage 3.5.
Had it for about a month, broke engine in fine had some use from it
but noticed the other day it was slowing down and eventually revving
but not really getting anywhere on the ground, when I pic it up seems fine but when I put it down again it doesn't set off properly.
Had it back to shop and he said it was ok!!! but it clearly isn't.
Any ideas? is it something to do with the slipper clutch?
hope someone can help.
Ta

wierd that the lhs couldnt find a problem.

I would check the slipper and the cb/pads

No offense to your LHS but I don't trust the LHS looking or repairing any of my stuff........I find the problem and fix it.

On topic: Like crash said, check your slipper and you might have an air leak, maybe?

If the engine is reving and the car isn't moving you need to go over your drive chain. First and simplest thing to check is wheel hexes. Pull all your wheel nuts off and check the hexes aren't rounded. This will happen if a wheel nut comes loose. Also try holding 3 wheels still and then try to turn the 4th wheel. If you are able to turn it there is a problem. Do this for all 4 wheels (or just a front and rear). You should be able to see what is allowing the wheel to spin. Usually a missing drive pin.

one easy thing that could be the prob is have u had a look at the CB Shoes coz i work in a hobby shop and i will admit that if u don't know wot u are doing fully well 4 a start u shouldnt start pulling it apart but u would never look at the shoes
so if i waz u i would take the motor out, the cb off and have a look at the shoes

Taking it to lhs tonight he thinks its slipper clutch.
Site Jester so many memories come from seeing the Skid Row cover,
what an album - what a good chapter of my life.

Yes also check your clutches..........make sure they aren't slipping.

I had the same problem at the last event.

I was about to use that metallica cover your sporting right now. I like that cover as well.. Skid Row brings allot of memories back.. Most w/ my Dad. Too bad they don't have sebastian Bach anymore .. there just not the same .. GOOD TIMES FOR SURE

Turns out it is front and back diffs that seem to be faulty
getting them replaced, should have it back for Fri/Sat.

Site Jester, Love early Metallica upto load and St Anger amasing music, can even manage some of it on the guitar.
