i finished the rear end of the savage..HPI cvds, RPM arms, HPI bulletproof diffs
i really like the FLM shock towers, but was thinking they would just add extra weight, so i left them out......for now

thank you, the weather is getting warmer up here, in about a month, it should hit the 50's so ill be able to break in the engine, so I'm trying to get her done now, so ill be ready for the nice weather and a summer of bashing!

Looks like it coming along pretty good. I was just curious about those aluminum rear hubs you were talking about. What are the benefits compared to stock or the integy ones you compared them too. Thanks in advanced.

the hpi rear hubs only come with the hpi suspension conversion kit
they are used to eliminate the rear toe link
i bought the integy rear hubs for my other savage, so i could go without using the rear toelink, if your not racing, you really don't need the rear toelink, just a weak spot, in my opinion, i rather just not have it
i compared the hpi rear hub to the integy rear hub, just to show how much beefier the hpi hubs are
ive run those integy rear hubs for almost a year and haven't had any problems
but, integy has a bad repution for parts quality and absoluty horriable customer service, they use a very cheap, soft metal in there parts, thats why they are so shiny

now that I'm done rebuilding my BL savage, i will have time to keep working on this build, some of my parts were tied up and it took a few weeks for them to come direct from fastlane
i ordered another 7955tg servo for this truck and also decided to forego the 250cc tank and use a smaller tank and keep the servo in its stock location
maybe i will change it after i get a few runs on the truck, i just want to get building again , so i can brake the engine in and get driving!
