Hey guys, my girl made me a present this truck https://www.hpiracing.com/en/kit/105645 but i am not nitro guy, so i decided to convert it to brushless. I read few threads and i have some questions. Do i need to change the diffs? These are newer and i wonder are they the same like flux`s ones? What is the best option for the gearbox? If i put the center diff i have neved had monster truck with center diff. What is the feel? Is it handling good? What oil i should put into the diff? Should i change the tvp`s or i can stick with the stock ones and modify them? Overall thats all :) I hope you gonna help me :)

You should upgrade your diffs with the #102692 machined bulletproof ones, the X 4.6 comes with sintered gears, the Flux comes with forged, but none of those are great, you need machined gears to handle brushless power. A center diff is crucial if you want to go brushless, the center diff will distribute the power, give you better handling, and most important, save the diff gears. 500K oil is a good start.
Center diff kit: https://shop.alza-racing.com/en/flux-gtxl-2017-xl/74-center-differential-kit-gtxl-2017.html
Center Diff: https://www.rcfox.de/ARA311118-Arrma-Aluminum-Center-Diff-Set-50T-200K_1

That's what those two together will look like:

You can use the stock TVP's and modify them, but for better handling, more space available for ESC/motor and to fit the battery boxes I recommend the XL ones, options: Alza tvp's, the GTXL-1 tvp's or the XL V2 ones.

Ok, what about diffs? Which one i should get and what oil i should put in them/?
As I said, get two sets of the machined bulletproof ones, part nº #102692. You can go with 200k oil front and back. Very important: since you're changing the bevel gears on the diffs, you need to properly shim the diffs with the recommended washers: part nº #Z892 and #Z877

Ok, i got it. And one last thing - i live in place with heavy rainy weather. Can you recomend me some quality rc screws that are rust reistant?

Just order a set of stainless steel fasteners. On the back of the manual, the type, number and size of the fasteners and bolts in your Savage are all listed. Use that info to make a shopping list and hit Ali's sister. Most listings there give you the option to choose between stainless steel and carbon steel.

It is very sensible to replace the stock sruff anyways. Extracting a rounded buttery hex fastener from an alloy diff housing has caused some men to experience a crisis of faith...
