Ok peeps, I'm about to order me some alluminum clutch shoes. Question is, I'm probably going with HPI's silver heavy duty shoes. I had the purple on my old savage. They worked well, but I want to ge5 the best for the new beast. Whats yalls opinions

i just installed the whole flywheel, clutch shoes, springs, nut and everything off an HPI Savage xl on my rig and it fit the Axial .32 like a glove, haven't tried them yet but I am sure they will be fine...... best thing is I got it for 17.99 shipped to my house.....

Sweet. I ended up going with hpi's shoes. I just have to get a vented flywheel now.

Was having a good time at the park til i rolled my ankle. Was trying out the hitec7955tg i put in for steering. Ill be out of commision for a couple weeks

Ok, whats yalls opinion on the grub screws that come with hpi's alluminum shoes? I ran my old savage without them. This is a basher, so obviously i want plenty low end punch. Like I said, I ran without before, but that was with my old savage, started with the .25 stocker and went up to an axial .28.

.well, I put in the grub screws and heavy springs. Good thing lol, it almost jumps off the ground when I hit the throttle. It really brings the rig alive. I have the tranny adjusted to shift alm9st immediatly. Even in second the front wheels are lifting. Defintly and improvment 8ver the stock set up. Think I my next upgrade will be a pipe. I want performance, but I like the dark theme under the lid. Wish I could find a good smoke colored anodized pipe

I hope you had the foresight to use a bit of locktite on those grub screws so they stay in place....

glad to hear its working for you.

a lot of the ofna jammin pipes are good, cheap, and smoke colored.http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=dynamite 086 pipe&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xjammin inline pipe.TRS0&_nkw=jammin inline pipe&_sacat=0

which ever one you decide you like, look up it's info on google. some pipes are better at low end, some at high end, and some all around.
