i have had me savage for 2 months now and had only 3 l of fuel in it,is there anything i need to check or keep my eye on,i have read the diff shimming thing but are they bad for anything else wearing out or braking due to lack of service???????

It's well worth shimming the diffs, they will last much longer. Just keep checking everything regularly, especially the drive cup pins and any screws that go into metal. It would be a good idea to remove all the drive cup pins and put loctite on them. Only use a very small amount of med strength loctite.
 
Motor mount bolts-and all others really-make sure they stay tight....Keep air filter clean...service shocks and diffs...
