Savage 4.6 with new carb won't start.

Just put a new carb on a ,4.6. Had to turn the throttle trim up s little to get it started. Well it start and had to quickly turn down the trim, almost full throttle then it died. Now for some reason I can leave it set and the carb completely fills up with fuel. It ran out the top of the carb. Anybody got any ideas?

Something in the needle and seat area possibly..... how is the idle gap set ? should be about 1mm open for a base idle setting.....
You said you raised the trim which is not the correct way to set the idle on any engine.....

Yeah I just turn the trim up to let a little bit more air because it wouldn't start. Today won't start at all. Then I notice all the fuel in the carb.

Well possibly the high or low needle is not set right, try going back to base settings and try again. also set the idle gap to 1 mm and see what happens......
