SAVAGE 4.6 Reverse Problem

Someone please help i am new to Ntiro Cars i have only had my one for a couple of weeks i got it form ebay its a reverse model all was well until i tried the reverse i put it in reverse and it just carry on going forward i have a pic to show you

Yes, the rod is supposed to sit in the notch, you may have to bend it a little bit to get it to ride and stay in the notch. The HPI reverse module instructions are useless... doesn't even show you how this end is connected at all.
