I picked up a savage 25 for $120 fully working. Ran out the quart of fuel and began the conversion. The nitrostar still runs awesome, BTW.

So far it has
Exceed madbeast motor mount had to drill out the 4 holes in the tvps for the old engine mount bolts to go through, the holes are right next to the spur gear.
Exceed madbeast battery trays, only modding was cutting an area for the tranny on the fuel tank side, and removing the outside 1\2 of the tray(3s hardcase packs were a pita to fit.
Gforce 1400 kV motor
Savox sc-1230 steering servo
Integy slash dual cooling fans
HW max8 v3 150a esc
Bullet proof diffs
Hong Nor 3 channel radio from my lx2e, the lx has a flysky fs-gt2 now
SS dogbones

I'm waiting on the flux idler gear to get here to finish it off. I tried epoxy on the 44t gear with one way bearing and it held for about 40 runs on 6s and 4s, 40 runs total.

I will say with the madbeast motor mount, a 74mm length can is pretty much max length unless the wires come out before the end of the can, then an 80mm may be possible.

I'll post a couple up. There are some pics on urc(savage ss to brushless) I was mislead when I bought it.

The truck is done and runs awesome, 20t pinion and I think 52t spur(stock steel replacement) haven't counted teeth. 4s and 6s are ridiculous. It could use a new body, but i'll wait till this one croaks completely.

It still has the 14mm hexes on it, are the 17mm hexes from the octane or flux direct fits? I don't need any more width, just want to be able to run my desperados.

Great, I'll get pics of the finished truck up in the morning. I'll warn you, it looks like an RC worktruck

Wanted to make sure before ordering them, and maybe a set of road rages.
