Nice build! i wish i had the creativity you have to make them tvp's. u gonna upgrade the stock shocks to some big bores?

well guys i was trying to get video for you but my camera died..now i guess I'm in the market for a new video camera..but theres been some progress in the build.. i made a aluminum skid plate and got me 2 sets of hpi baja 5t light pod and a 5t bumper which i think looks great on it..i got some 5mm leds for some night driving but i still run them in the day..I'm just getting started on the rollcage..also the flux in the earlier picture has just been treated to a 1/5 conversion too..its the same lenght as the TCS crwalers kit and the hpi savage 5t..but we built it the way hpi should have made it..it has a 5t body on it...i will have pictures soon of it and my extreme savage (self proclaimed name) next to each other so you can see the size difference of the 2 kits...

Looks awesome man! Can't wait to see this thing run. I bet wheelies are pretty impressive with a truck that size LOL. I notice your tires are on backwards compared the direction I run my Goliaths. Do you get better traction that way? I've never tried them that way, but I notice the Goliaths don't have quite enough traction to get the front end up on my Savage.

i geared up for more speed so no more wheelies...and i have the tires that way trying to get more grip out of them..i think its about the same really but sometimes it seems to hook better..i like the size and stance of the tires but i wish they offered more grip..I'm trying to find a very aggesive tire thats the same size as these,,for now i have decided against the baja tires...there just to heavy and I'm trying to save as much weight as possible

Yeah I have thought about what Baja wheels and tires would look like on the savvy, but in reality the Goliaths are just as big and probably lighter too. I can't decide on what kind to get either, I just don't want to go too small.

thanks larsen...i will get vids as soon as possible..the next pics should be of the rollcage!!!

Nice Build! That is a ridiculously big truck! Looks great! Props to you for doing most of it custom.

How is that motor you have in it? Got a flux but not familiar with different motors. Is it more powerful? more torque? can the ESC handle more than castles?

Sorry about all the questions, just curious.
I have a set of DB-17 tvps which are quite long measuing nearly 17" just the TVPs, just to get a comparison, could you measure your TVPs.

Nice 1!!!

GET A VID ASAP WITH SOME FULL THROTTLE!

well to answer j1a1hh. the tvps are about 20 inch long..and I'm using the castle setup which is the same setup as the flux.. and for an update i will be doing the rollcage as soon as i get time and the flux in the earlier pics is finnaly 1/5 scale and has a woodster body on it waiting for paint,so i will have some pics of the 2 together real soon

well today we went out to get some action shots for you guys and ended up snaping the right rear axle ending my day in 2 mi..but the flux is coming along..

hey everyone, this is my brother i was talking about in my intro, this truck is one of those gotta see in person things.its insane.i have a camera so hopefully in teh next week or 2 we will have both of our trucks out playing around.:chainkiller:

That 1/5 scale savage is huge!!!

Looks like you are going to have to upgrade the motor and maybe an 8s setup? and a lower more efficient kv motor.

You have plenty of room to mount lipos within the tvps!!!

The short course trucks look great!!!
