when i went out today to fire up my savage the roto start wasn't turning the engine over consistently. it would turn the engine over once or twice then it wouldn't do anything. i no it not flooded. what could be wrong???

any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

thx

Sounds like the oneway is starting to slip, pull off the roto start backplate and trying hitting the oneway with some nitro blast to get the oil out of it. If it still does not work then it looks like it is time for a new oneway. while it is off check the crank shaft for wear, too much where on it, could also cause it to slip.

i don't think theres anything wrong with the crank shaft ive only put just over 1 gallon thru it. instead of nitro blast could i use wd40??

is this what i need?

Yeah that's the one-way bearing. Sounds like that's your problem. Or at least that's the most likely candidate.
