i bought a new owb for roto start and never really ran it
now trying 2 start it it slips most of the time
then every1 once in a while very randomnly the roto like grips better and every time the roto turns the engine turns
aand engine will start
but usually the engine will pop first turn opf roto then just turn with out turning the engine.

try cleaning the owb with carb cleaner or some kind of degreaser some fuels are worse than others the oil lets the owb slip.or try just tapping the roto start like on off on off

check the exhaust seal. it can leak the oil right down on to the roto plate causing the owb to slip. if it slips to many times its going to crack the owb. the break VERY easily..

Try to start the engine with the piston in Lowest position.
Then the rotostart is almost at speed when the piston starts to compress. and yes, check the OWB regulary, it should be dry.

If the engine starts very easy, buy a pullstart next time, you will have more feeling with the engine during starting..
