Hello!

I have just purchased an used Savage XS Flux, but only five weeks old.
But I need to replace one Diff Shaft (pn 101230) at rear end.
Its is not the shaft at the wheel-end of the drive shaft, but the one at the other end.

I am new to both remote cars and HPI, so I have problems to figure out how to replace the part.
Can anyone help me with a step by step procedure or give me a helpfull link?

Bjarne, you'll need to remove the back bumper and skid plate. You'll then be able to open the diff housing much easier and simply remove the diff. The Savage XS exploded view may help you see it better (page 2).

Thank you, WoodiE!
Thanks to your drawing I managed to replace the drive shaft.
And now the car is working 🙂

Way to dig in and fix your RC. Knowledge is power. The more you have the more you're willing to try with these RCs. We'll have you completely disassembling and modifying your XS in no time.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks! I se I have to take some photos 🙂

But first I have to get the reverse to work. It seems like it is working randomly, and never on the first try. I have to try several times befor it goes backwards, each time.

Any tips?

Possible this is an ESC issue. whether it is simply that it is faulty or that the settings are incorrect. I believe if you have a stock ESC you can hook up to it using castle link and check the settings.

Also possible this is a TX/RX setting issue. Take a look at your remote and verify if your trims are where they need to be.
