Replace bearings or no?

I have the STS .28 and I have about 3 gallons on it and I have yet to replace the bearings and I know that they suggest to replace them after each gallon.


When I first got the motor I thought the bearings was bad after the half gallon mark and Ryan sent me a set of bearings free of charge and I am wondering if I should go ahead and replace them since the motor is out of the truck while I run the 4.1 for a little while.

I believe if it aint broke don't fix it. but if they suggest doing it it's probably a preventitive deal so if the motors out, and you have new ones maybe go ahead and change them. and keep the old ones if still good for emergency spares.

Replace the bearings after each gallon wow that sucks thank god i didnt buy an STS engine!!

Thats what they say, yet I have 4 gallons and haven't replaced them yet......
