"I know this isnt an engine that is used on a Savage... But i thought I would share the results with you guys so you can see the difference of before and after. Maybe some of you all have truggys or buggys as well that can benifit off this?"

I finally got around to doing some dyno testing on the Reedy 121VR .21 Off Road engine. I ran it in my truggy and noticed it had some good snap but seemed like it hit a brick wall and didn't want to rev out as if it didn't have a lot of top end power. So on the dyno it went for the real unbiased test to see its entire power curve. The dyno showed exactly what i observed in car... Good punch but lack of top end. So to the mod bench it went.. Then back on the dyno for some testing. As you can see by the dyno chart the modifications have really woke up the top end and now this engine revs out a lot better due to its new found HP/TQ "in areas" in excess of .5 HP! And even gained some power down low as well. The engine now feels much smoother in car as the power doesnt fall off so hard in the higher RPM range keeping a more even feel through the entire power band.

did you shoot any vid of this. i know squat about .21's but still haven't decided on a mill for my D8.

Does that mod improve fuel economy as well as top end?

Sorry for the noob question Adam, but when it comes to these mills & my buggy, ya, I'm a noob

Sorry no videos... As far as fuel consumption I haven't seen 5 min gains per tank 😉 But I haven't noticed ANY loss of fuel consumption.

Fuel economy can be further increased by taking out the 8mm restrictor and replacing it with a 7mm restrictor. The modified engine with the smaller 7mm restrictor will get even better fuel consumption and still have more power across the rev range.

Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated guys. 🙂
