Recommended gears?

Hi!
Curious how you have geared your savage flux hp? I have the 25 pinion in mine and thinking about changing it.

You can go up or down by 2 or 3 teeth on the motor pinion to get the kinds of performance you are wanting, I would not recommend going much over that because overgeared or undergeared will cause issues such as overheating the motor and/or ESC causing damage to either component

Ok, thought 20 is the standard. Had been thinking about a 18 pinion but that is not a good idea?

not without upping ur spur gear.

Well, I am not sure what the spur gear size is but it might be 44. Will check with the original owner.

But if the spur gear is 44 than 18 as pinion can work?

If I change tires (looking at Goliath) at the same time maybe that even things up?
