rec cut off

ok getting back into nitro again and going with a savage i sold my last savage project but still have a ton of savage parts so i went with a savage SS anyhoo more about my Qs will this fit http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...iver-Battery-Pack-74V-2300mAh-w-Balancer-Plug i will be using a DX2S i have never owned one before and know noting about them i know i need a cut off for LiPo so were do i get one for a rec pack i can't seem to find any.

I would look wice about using LiPo battery in the truck. The main resons are going to be:

1. Fit, this unit will not fit
2. High voltage servos start at $225 each. You can get a awsome regular servo for $80-$90 bucks

In my eyes it a waste of alot of money.

All depends what your looking to get out of it - here is some verbage from the ad:'

Overall weight of your race car will be significantly reduced over the use of typical NiMH receiver packs. The battery voltage to your receiver and servos will remain constant throughout the race with the use of a voltage regulator (required)

if your looking to reduce some weight, then looks like a good choice but your gonna have to spend $40 for the pack plus a voltage regulator. is the benefit worth the cost to you? if yes, then go for it.

i just want really long run times and if i can loss a few grams thats a good plus.

I made a hump pack with with 5 2900 mah AA batteries. I hardly ever have to charge them I think I was about 1/2 a gallon before I had to recharge. Also I just use the regular hump pack charger in the side of the battery box. Besides the weight I don't see any reason to go with the lipos. Just my two cents
