Really Really Really Fast

Hi I Want My savage 25 to be a speed meachine and i want it to be reall really fast what do i need to be able to do this thanks

Get a good motor, put the highest gearing you can in it without bogging your motor down, 3 speed tranny, high gear set for the 3 speed, good exaust pipe.

Keep in mind that you can't have acceleration AND speed at the same time.

Don't make 2 threads about the same thing please. Your a new member and still learning about the site so it's fine, no sweat.

First off, gearing is very important. This will determine how fast you accelerate and what your top speed is. You may want some Nova clutch shoes for quicker acceleration. If your going for all out speed you will want to lower the trucks stance quite a bit. Next would be making it lighter. Shave the hubs, buy lighter wheels, ect. Finally, yes buy a powerful engine.
Just to let you know, this whole "I want to make my truck super fast" is just a phase your going through. We all went through it and later realized that we really don't care about blistering speed.

well, the popular opinion on how to make your Savage super fast is: Sell it and buy a Revo!

I disagree, and intend to make a race-Savage, but I'm just giving you a head's-up on some of the comments headed your way 😀

I agree with komo........many people will tell you to get a revo but my savage has beaten revo's at the track......they were stock but it was a walk in the park basically.

Its really on how you tune if you are a good tuner. you will keep up w/ the light revo .. I did even w/ the toque sf .32 I have .. tune it right and gear it right you ll give them a run for the money .. if all else fails, RAM THE REVO OFF THE DAMN ROAD .....:resp:

even a CRAPPY driver with a slow truck can run a Revo off the road...granted, you may have to wait 'til he laps you, but whatever it takes :motorcycle:

The revo chassis definitely look like it would be a better racer especially with a few mods. Engine wise a brushless revo would be pretty hard to beat.

On topic though I was going to say the same thing as crash. Go brushless but since you don't want too, What's your budget?
