today I was out and I lost signal so I figured I'd count out my steps and see how far from where I was standing, to where my truck locked up with the failsafe. I counted out 127 normal walking steps. I figured 1 of my walking steps is about 1 yard so its about 350 feet. Is that decent range or should I be getting better?

I would say thats pretty good. I know for a fact the spektrum did have some issues with range on some of there transmitters.

yeroc somethins caz ive gone almost twice as far with the AM stocker Tx/Rx to "test" the failsafe.

I know wifi signals mess with it and I have a wifi signal in my building where I bind my unit. Do u think the wifi signal affects the bind? I want to go out in the country where there is nothing around me and try binding out the and see if I get better range.

I don't use that one, but I do use a Futaba 2.4 and it claims something like 2000ft. I have driven my vehicles as far as my eyes could still see them and still had full control.

Make sure your Rx antennae, as small as it may be, is pointing vertical.

I and every neighbor around me have wi-fi and I have not had any problems when driving around the house. Wi-fi stays on one channel, the digital radios changes it's channel like 500 times a second.

Standing beside a running microwave might mess with you though.

I know my 2.0 and 3.0 can run as far as I can see them. well over 150 yards. I have yet to see my Dx3R's fail safe kick in.

Hmmm, I dunno what to do. I changed where the antenna comes out of the reciever, it came out the top and ran across my reciever but I changed it today so it comes out the side and straight up the antenna tube. Hopefully that may make a diffrence. Should I hav a piece of the wire antenna comin out the top of the tube?its about a quarter inch from the top of the tube. Just dident want it to get roughed up incase I flip.

i got a DX 3.0 coming so I'm excited to finally enter the world of 2.4 i just hope i get a little more range then the factory radio not less

So is there anything I can do. I changed where the wire exits the reciever box to the side so we will see if that makes any diffrence. Before it was comin out the top and across the rec box.
