Hey i just got a new savage X 4.6 a bit ago.
i used to have a red cat racing buggy for a while but that soon died.
love the savage.

anyways, just quick question, what is the average distance a person can get on their savage?
maybe its normal but mine just seems to loose signal so fast.
cant hardly get into second before i need to turn around.

just wondering if there is anyway to boost the signal in the stock TX and such.
or if its the type of AA's they are just normal Duracell.
ive read the posts on antennas and such but not sure if that would apply to this.
otherwise she screams catwalks on command lots of fun once you cat trigger control.
anyways thanks for any input on this.

Even with the stock radio and standard AA batteries, you should get a couple of hundred of feet.

Hopefully you didn't cut your antennae, as it needs every inch intact.

Try re-seating your crystals and replace the batteries with new ones.

One of your first upgrades should be a hump pack for it. You might also want to consider a 2.4g digital radio that's range is further than you can see the truck. You can get nice ones like the Futaba 3PM 2.4 FASST system rather cheap.
