OK I have seen several questions on this subject lately and I would like some clarification for myself. When it comes to digital servos, can they be used with stock radios? And with 2.4Ghz radios can you use standard servos? Someone mentioned on a post before that they have used the Futaba 3PM on PPM mode and did not have any problems with stock servos. I saw in the manual that it said to only use digital servos on one of the first pages so I didn't read any more of the manual than that. When can you mix different servo types with different radio types, and when is it not a good idea??? I almost bought the 3PM for $160 at my LHS but didn't cause I thought I would need new servos too, but if this is not the case I may still buy it.

So I've been researching this more and I read on the hpi baja forum that you can mix and match digital/analog servos on the same car but you have to run in PPM mode since you still have at least one analog servo on the car/truck. The complaint is that in PPM you have to reset your Tx's failsafe everytime you run the vehicle. My question is this, if you also have a standard failsafe on your truck do you still have to reset the FS on the Tx every time or can you just skip it and rely on your regular FS to do it's job? Are you required to use the failsafe on the Tx or can you run without it?
