question about new clutch shoes

my new clutch gear arrived today http://www.extremenitrohobbies.com.au/ws225/index.php?page=details&prod=336&cat=36&group=5 ... 36&group=5
(don't worry about the 13 tooth it for my buggy)
is it advisable to sand off the anodised coating on the clutch shoes before installing them

i think you should be alright to go ahead and run them with the ano on them. I'm not 100% on that as the clutch shoes i run are just bare aluminum.

IMO, no need to spend your time sanding, it will come off as soon as those clutches engage the CB for the first time. I would recommend you scuff up and clean the inside of the cb before you install. good luck!

Yeah i agree with Allan, I have the HPI ones on my truck and didnt do anything and it ended up coming off any ways. After i did my break in i cleaned the truck once more and found the little shavings in the clutch bell. So i think you can do it eaither way.
