So I got a $10 off coupon in the mail from maxamps and decided to use it to order a 1600mah hump pack for the XL. I ended up paying like $6 for it plus another $6 for shipping. I wanted a bigger one but I figure I can still keep the 1200mah in my tool box for a spare if I need it one day. The wierd thing is I noticed a big increase in power to the steering servo. Both batteries charged to about the same voltage so I didn't think I would notice anything different but right away my battery level indicator was not lighting up like it used to under load. I have a voltwatch indicator with a series of leds and on it and with the stock hump pack it would show one led lit with no load but when I would turn the wheels or brake several of the leds under the highest would light up with the drain in voltage. Now it just stays on one led and only the one under it barely lights up like there is way less strain on the battery. Also it turns the wheels on the floor in my kitchen no problem, at a standstill, and they return to center on there own. The servo never had the power to do that before without the truck rolling forward. Anybody else ever experience this with a simple battery change? Was my stock pack just a crappy one? I get good run times and everything with it so I just thought that was the way it was supposed to be, but now it is like I have way more juice to everything it's wierd lol. I know they don't really rate these like they do with LiPo's but could my new pack have a higher discharge rate for some reason? Or maybe a lower IR?
