posible suspect?

on my last run guys i noticed a small to midrange rattle/when the engine was runnin you know how your enige sounds? well this was differnt to the ear.
it sounded like a bb rattlin around, i couldnt stop the noise the matter how i tried to deadn the sound {thinking somthin loose} i almost narrow the sound to the clutch bell. has any body heard this and does the bearing in there go bad? the savg was still runnin well . i just sealled my engine and the truck is pretty tight .

Don't run the engine anymore .. Take it apart and look at the connecting rod and the main bearing .. also the front . Keep us posted

A long long time ago I heard that noise you described, and it was the clutch shoes bouncing off the clutch bell as if engaging but not grabbing the bell. I replaced my shoes and springs and the noise stopped for me. May be what your noise is, may not, something to look at though.
