I have an XL SBK and I am wondering if this is ok to run with the alignment this way. Engine is the HPI 5.9. All clutch parts are from the kit.

It looks like you have 100% of the spur gear contacting the clutch-bell gear.
I would run it.

If it bothers you, and you have more than one shim under the clutch-bell, you could move it forward to be (on top of / outside of) the clutch-bell.
Or a shorter collet would move the clutch-bell back towards the engine and get the spur closer to the center of the clutch-bell gear.

But I'd run it as is - especially since you're 100% using stock kit parts.

Just wanted another opinion. Figured it would be ok but I'm new to the Savage trucks. Just need the weather to warm up so I can run this thing.

Welcome to the club. The Savage is a versatile and fun truck.
Aren't most of us waiting for the weather to warm?

XL SBK - Did you do the build yourself?
How did it go?

Build went real smooth. This is my 2nd HPI SBK. The first is my Baja SBK. I was thinking about the xl nitro and when I saw it in kit form I couldn't resist. Love building kts.
