Stripping a pinion gear I thought might be a hard thing to do. Is their a stronger gear? Maybe made in titanium?

after a brief search I've found that this isnt the 29/9 gear set. hence why it's broken.

front or rear ? I blew my front twice so far ,due to bad landings

what I see in finx pic and get the impression from chime's post is that the gear mesh was too loose (in both savages) and caused the pinion teeth to wear like that which also can lead to snapping a tooth off (usually will happen to a front diff under hard braking).

when your mesh is off like that, you want to shim the pinion to the ring and then the ring to the pinion to close up the gap in the mesh to a reasonable tolerance (but not over tight).
