paddles

has anyone used one set of paddles on the sand versus paddles all around ,and what are the pros and cons of both

i mentioned paddles the other day and was told that if you run paddles in the back and some nubz tires in the front it hooks up awsome all i know is i've used paddle tires all around and my savage x shoots a awsome rooster tail lol but don't have near as much control!!
