Hi
i have a savage x rtr 4.6 F engine . i am running standard hpi dirtbonz tyres
standard shocks with FLM shock towers
the FLM extended and lower centre of gravity TVP's
17 tooth clutch bell and 47 tooth spur gear
it used to pop wheelies when i first got it but after i fitted the new TVP's and dirt bonz tyres no more wheelies is that normal for the way i have my car setup
Thanks

yep as soon as you get extended tvps the wheelies usually go! this can be good and bad, because for racers which is what this flm tvp is designed for, don't want wheelies, they want 4x4 traction all the time not 4x2 half the time. but on the flip side it is hard to impress your friends with a nice 100 foot wheelie!!!

I think wheelies are fun for a full five minutes then its just annoying. Power is nothing without control and there is no control with only 2 wheels on the ground. 🙂

Correct, With extended TVP's the wheelies usually go down unless your running a power house mill or lower gearing and light tires. The FLM's are also heavy which don't help for wheelies but they are very nice TVp's especially for the price.

Also, with out aluminum shoes you will not get them either on the extended chassis. I'm not sure if you are running nylon or aluminum shes.

are aluminum shoes that much more grippy? i have some mugen carbon shoes and those things grab like woah

Hi
Thanks for the replies i am running standard nylon shoes at the moment
