I just purchased and installed the Dx 2.0 on my savage. I connected my freshly charged hump pack, installed 8 new AAs and then binded the radio to the receiver.
I started the truck and drove it up and down the street. It would lose the signal at about 50 yards and the fail safe would put on the brakes and bring the truck to a stop. I started walking towards it and it would not pick up the signal again until I was about 25 yards from it.
The antenna on the receiver is vertical and I have the antenna up on the transmitter. So I rebinded the rx to the tx and the same thing happened.
I took it out again today with Blazer X and again it would lose the signal at about 50 yards. Something else we realized is that even if I am at 25 yards or so and turn around so that my body is inbetween the rx and tx, there is no signal and the light on the receiver goes off.
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am going to contact Ultimate Hobbies on Monday to discuss the issue with them.
